This week (21st- 27th September) is recycle week! Recycle Week is the largest national annual recycling campaign that has been running since 2004. We hope that this year will be the biggest one yet!

Recycle week 2020 is here! This year we wanted to say thank you for recycling during these difficult times.

This year, we wanted to say a big thank you for carrying on recycling in spite of all the challenges we have faced during the Corona virus pandemic.

Thank you for showing that despite everything that has happened, there is still one small but powerful act every single one of us can do everyday!

Be the best Recycler you can

Let’s keep up the good work and become the best recyclers we can. Follow these simple steps to start:

  1. Check what can be recycled in your area. Visit your local Council's website for the most up to date information or check out Recycle Now’s locator tool
  2. Give your tins, cans, glass bottles and jars a quick rinse before adding them to the recycling bin. It doesn't have to be super clean, just a rinse in your used dishwater will do!
  3. Squash down any plastic bottles, cans and cardboard boxes so that you can fit more in your bin
  4. Don’t forget about the more unusual items you can recycle such as batteries, electrical items and clothes. Read our blog all about them here
